I was referred to Dr. Armin by my health care clinic in West Hollywood. I'm used to going to Cedars for my back and spine consultations, but I decided to give Dr Armin in a try. I've read some of the other reviews posted here and they are completely contrary to the experience that I had with the doctors staff. Nancy, at Dr. Armin's office, was as kind, hospitable and responsive as I could ask for. She responded to phone calls and particularly emails with shockingly fast precision.

In fact, Nancy responded to emails both on the weekend and after hours. This is something I have never encountered with any doctors office or medical service provider. Ever. She stayed in constant contact with me about getting me in to see the doctor, this time because of covid-19 via a telemedicine call.

My first appointment with Dr Armin was thorough in that he asked a wide range of questions regarding my previous spinal Health, going back almost 30 years. Based on the information I gave him about my recent injury, he scheduled an MRI which, being in a considerable amount of pain, happened within one week. After we received the MRI results, Nancy was quick to schedule a follow-up appointment for Dr Armin to review the MRI with me.

I have had spinal surgery, and have had chronic back issues for the best part of my life. I'm an active person and re-injure my back about once a year. This time was different, extraordinarily painful. The doctor reviewed the MRI with me in a way that was completely and utterly thorough. We discussed each vertebrae and each disc. He reviewed the health of each vertebrae and each disc with me in detail that was almost exhausting, but it was extraordinary. He gave me a very clear and concise picture of the health of my spine, and gave me advice on how to proceed forward that was very clear. The medicine he prescribed when I first injured my back, and the follow-up appointment to review my MRI seem to be completely on point. I am able to function with much less pain and for now, he said that he recommends I avoid any surgery. He recommended a wide variety of preventative procedures and that I stay away from my very favorite activity, doing sit-ups!

His friendliness, kindness and seemingly genuine concern for the state of my health was quite refreshing. I did not feel like just another patient, or like a faceless person sitting in a waiting room waiting for 5 minutes with a doctor that rushes through his examination. I felt a genuine concern from him for the state of my health and the health of my spine.

I'm not usually moved to write reviews like this, especially one this long. But in the world of overbooked, over taxed, underpaid people, this doctor showed up for me as did his assistant Nancy. That is rare and it's deeply appreciated!
